Greetings to all the saints in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Often when we speak about our faith we refer to what we may know about God. But just important is our focus on what God knows about us. A good place to start regarding God's knowledge and understanding of us can be found in Psalm 139:
"O LORD, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You discern my thoughts from far away.
You search out my path and my lying down,
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
O LORD, you know it completely.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high that I cannot attain it." (Psalm 139:1-6)
Hopefully, these words are able to give comfort to us. God knows our experiences from beginning to end, from conception to death to life everlasting. Never a moment is God apart from us in awareness, knowledge, and hope.
The Psalmist continues:
"For it was you who formed my inward parts;
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; that I know very well." (Psalm 139:13-14)
It truly is wonderful to reflect upon and pray about the immeasurable ways that God knows us, cares for us, and has an eternal plan and purpose for us.No moment of our lives is ever beyond God's concern for us. we are never out of the reach of our heavenly Father. In him we live. Thanks be to God!
